This Web site includes a steady stream of stories highlighting Pitt people, events, and accomplishments over the last 225 years.
Each story is assigned to one of eight categories. These include History, Athletics, Society & Culture, Health, Big Picture, Global, Science & Technology, and Your Stories.
On the Home Page...
Toward the top of the home page, excerpts from individual stories are featured in a random rotation. To read the full version of a story, click on the photo or on the blue Learn More > link.
If you want to read more stories in a given category, click on View More Stories >.
Another way to find stories on specific subjects is to click on View All Story Tags >. This will take you to a page with a list of tags for all of the stories on the site. For example, if you click on the tag “brain” you will call up a page with a list of headlines for stories about Pitt brain research. Click on a headline to view the story itself.
To scroll individually through all of the stories in a given category, click on one of the blue horizontal boxes in the navigation located about a third of the way down the home page.
On a Story Page...
To move from one story to another, click on the words Previous or Next. Or, click on the forward (>) or backward (<) arrows.
To Share Your Pitt Story...
You can submit a story (and photo) about your own Pitt experience by clicking the orange arrow labeled SHARE YOUR PITT STORY at the top-right of the home page. This will take you to a page with prompts to guide you through the process of writing your story and uploading a photo.
