Loving Creative Nonfiction

|

Elizabeth Taylor (A&S '04):

As a non-traditional student who was working full-time, I started taking classes part-time in the summer of 2002. I was not sure what field I wanted to pursue until I took a creative writing course with Professor Sharon McDermott that fall and fell in love with creative nonfiction.

When I graduated in December 2004, I found out, much to my delight, that my uncle was also a Pitt alumnus, having graduated in 1960 with a degree in electrical engineering. Sadly, he passed away in December 2011.
